Marketing Management is Back to the Basics with Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs says that they don't do market research at Apple. Why? he said its a simple thought, "Make the very best products. Business will follow."
Simple? Well, yes and no.You can have the greatest product or service in the world, but nobody will buy it, if nobody knows about it. Right?
Do you have a product or service you want to promote? Have you thought about how to do it but when you search the web, you are overwhelmed at all the information?
Let's get back to the basics. We are going to start from Square One and do a series of blogs which will take you through the BASICS We all know that Apple has a whole army of people doing what needs to be done and you.....well, you probably have you and MAYBE one or two others. So instead of trying to do a million jobs at once, you have to take things one step at a time.
What comes first in your Marketing Management Plan?
You have a product or a service that you want to get to the public and you want to tell the public about it online. So, you have to have a website.
Steve Jobs may not do Market Research but when he has a new product, he DOES KNOW his target market. Do you know your target market? Teens? Women in a certain age group? Men? Children? First basic step is to determine your target market. Why is that important to do right away? Well, for many reasons but when you are getting ready to do a website, you need to"decorate" the website to appeal to your target market.
So let's stop here. You have a product or service. You are going to make sure you have the right target market in mind for your website you want to create. If you are not sure, ask around, talk to your friends. And, if you have time, pick up a bio of Steve Jobs and read about him. It will give you great insight on how a successful businessman thinks!
Be ready for Blog #2 where we will be talking about how to put your website together....should you design it? Do you pay for someone to do it? Be prepared with some good and accurate content about the products or services you are offering. Do your homework before you read Blog #2, which is coming VERY soon!
